pBUZZ wins Gold in Primary Teacher Awards
pBuzz has received the highest accolade at the Primary Teacher Awards – which celebrate products that stimulate a child’s development – by taking the coveted Gold Award.
The Award judges said: “We loved the bright colour of the instrument and the durable plastic it is made of. The children loved exploring the register of the instrument and were amazed at how lengthening and shortening it by means of sliding the outer part made different notes. Very useful and clever idea to have the different notes coloured on the inside of the slide. A brilliant instrument at a brilliant price.”
From the British makers of the award-winning pBone and pTrumpet, the fun, lightweight pBuzz is the easy way to get into brass playing with your first “buzz”.
Offering a truly authentic experience of a proper mouthpiece, pBuzz has a range of 6 notes through its moveable slide. The slide positions are outlined by colour, note name (i.e. F, G, A, B, Bb, C) and also slide position from 1 to 6. The colour scheme ties in with any other instruments using the Orff system. Children can learn by many ways with pBuzz including note, slide position and colour to aid the understanding of pitch and varying length.
Suitable for children of all ages, but especially from as young as 3 or 4 years old as part of your EYFS provision, the pBuzz works as a perfect addition in the classroom to recorders, chime bars, and hand percussion.
